When a world ends, words remain...

Persian Carpets...

from lowly floor coverings of nomads to splendor beneath imperial feet...

The oldest carpet known to-date was found in 1948 in the burial mound of a Scythian (Sakâ) prince
in the ices of Razyryk Valley in Siberia.

The beautiful 'Razyryk Carpet' has been dated to 5th century BCE Achaemenid Persia.

While Persians might not have invented the art of carpet weaving,
by all accounts they have perfected it.
